Guys,
Just thought I would pass this e-mail along that I received from Larry a
while ago. I has to do govenor. I am glad he wasn't in the air!! read
below.......He has his Moose for sale if there is any interest you can contact
Larry at ljnagy@axion.net

Bob....Was glad to hear that you have started building.... the new , pre
punched kits certainly do cut a few hours off the building time....You did
the right thing buying that engine, they will not get any cheaper . I should
mention that on mine, I installed the composite , 3-blade ,MT prop, with
which I am very pleased. I also had a new prop govenor with reverse pitch
control. During run up, it locked into coarse pitch and refused to respond.
It was defective from the factory and luckily , I still had the original ,new
standard govenor that came with the engine. That is the one I'm flying with
now and it works very well...don't know if you seen that artical on the Moose
that crash landed in the parking lot in Anchorage last fall, but apparently,
his prop went into coarse pitch on final and I too would like to know
why !! I love my Moose but there comes a time when it's time to get out of
the lodge business and do something else..I have the tail feather kit for an
RV-7 in my workshop so if the Moose sells, I will probably start on it or
maybe an RV-10 ??? Larry
