Carb Heat Effectiveness - Forsling Exhaust/Vans Air Box

I replaced the Forsling (Murphy standard) carb. heat muff with one of the
cabin heat muffs, and have gone from a barely perceptible RPM drop to a good
solid 100 RPM drop at cruise on my O-360. Still don't see much on the
temperature probe, but I suspect that is because the probe is measuring the
carburettor body temperature rather than the throat air temperature.
