V8 and Panel pics

For those of you interested, I uploaded some pics of my Rodec Aluminum Chevy
350 installation. The only thing left to do with the engine is to install
the dual Facet fuel pumps I ordered, with one way check valves and plumbing.
Check out the chromed copper CoolFlex radiator hoses. Good shot of the
Firewall Forward CAM500 gear drive and it's belt driven vacuum pump drive.
That's not an experimental prop. It's a bit of scrap channel that made it
easy to rotate the engine while setting the valves. I learned a new way to
set the valves from a racing buddy. For those of you still doing it the old
fashioned way (finding top dead center on the compression stroke and then
setting both valves) this way is a lot easier. I don't have my notes so I
hope I get this right: When the intake valve is just starting to close set
the exhaust valve. When the exhaust valve is just starting to open, set the
intake valve. If you look real close you can see the extra plate on the
primary side of the carb. That's my Tom McNeil mixture control that allows
me to change the mixture from the cockpit. There isn't a very good look at
the radiator which is underneath, up against the firewall. I'll take some
pics of that area and upload them in the next day or two. If there are
specific areas that anyone would like to get a better look at, just let me
know and I'll take some pics. Same goes for any questions anybody might
have. There are a lot of obstacles to installing a V8 and I'd be happy to
help anyone going that route through them.
