No fuel pressure

30 feet of water = 15 psi
3 feet of water =1.5 psi

fuel is only about 60% or so ?? as heavy so 3 feet of fuel would be 0.9 p
si.

That is unlikely to register on a 15 psi gauge unless it is very high
quality precision gauge...
Even 5 feet of fuel would probably requre tapping the gauge to maybe get
a flicker as most gauges are certainly not accurate at 10% of full scale.

Im confused. I have a temporary tank hooked up to my carb, running
through
my entire fuel system. It exits the fuselage at the bottom of the
firewall
then goes back up to the top of my engine to the carb. At first there
was
no fuel at the carb end. Then I lowered the fuel hose even with the
bottom
of the firewall and got flow. I put my thumb over the end then raised
it up
and attached it to my carb. I have a fuel pressure gauge right at the
carb.
No fuel pressure. My temporary tank is in the same spot as the wing
tank
outlet would be. The fuselage is level. I raised the tank about three
feet
and still no pressure at all. I checked the float bowls and they are
full.
They were dry prior to this test. Theres enough pressure and flow to
do
that, which probably doesnt take much but I expected a measurable
pressure
at the carb. I attached a pressure gauge to the end of the hose and
lowered
it to the floor. A five foot difference between the tank and the gauge.
No
pressure. The gauges used are 0-15psi in
