Thanks Walter for the feedback. My firewall is 3" back as well. Although I
understand the reasoning, I don't have the desire to ever go to a smaller
engine, so I don't mind buying the airplane this way. I think it also gives
me the advantage of possibly mounting the Battery up front so that I can
otherwise avoid the possibility of a missle coming at me during a frontal
impact of the airplane. I may end up looking at an alternate composite
propeller to balance out the weight with the battery up front. I also have a
NIB Sensenig that is about 40 lbs. SO I may end up selling that...
I also have a lightweight starter, but have kept the fuel pump to be used as
an aux fuel pump for safety. That adds a little weight.
