Thanks for the tips guys.
How do you get pressure in the tank for pressure test? I've seen a setup for
testing plumbing that has pipe threads and a valve stem like on a tire. Do
most people just use the balloon/glove over the filler neck, or an actual
pressure gauge?

I just rubber banded a latex glove over the filler neck plugged up all but
one of the outlets then installed a barbed nipple in it. Added a short
piece of rubber hose then blew up the tank until the glove was about 2'
tall. stick a golf tee in the end of the hose and wait a day to see if the
gloves still standing. If it is you're in business if not get out the soapy
water sprayer and start looking for leaks.
I suppose if you wanted to get fancy you could set up a water collumn
gauge to check for leaks but you really only want a couple pounds of
pressure so most normal gauges wouldn't read low enough.
