Elite tailwheel

We have the MAM "Tundra" tailwheel on our Elite and so far the major
concern is that it is impossible to get the plane of swivel parallel
with the ground with the stinger in any of the forward mount holes.
Also, the top of the wheel is closer to the rudder bottom than I would
like. (I think this is what Bob P is referring to) When we will do
taxi tests it will be changed if a shimmy / handling problem surfaces.
However a quick think through doesn't present an easy solution. And no
- floats are not a fix for us. :):) I will be interested to see if the
Moose fix in the works can solve this as well.
It is a design issue that should have been addressed earlier. Perhaps
missed as the first Elite was a nose dragger I believe.
