This was last year, it was a little foggy in the AM, but cleared
nicely.... The Cessna 172 came all the way from California! That was
Walt Windus, he's made the event several years in a row and is always
kind enough to make a presentation on making the trip on straight
floats!
WSPA will provide hamburgers and hotdogs, soft drinks please bring
your favorite salad or desert and we'll call it a pot luck. To best
enjoy the event, come Friday night and pitch a tent, bail on Sunday
morning. That's what several did last year, but even if you can just
fly in for the day, it's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
Lake Cushman is near Hoodsport. The beach above is N47'27.85"
W123'13.29" Information on how to get there if you are driving, and
facilities available can be found at http://www.lakecushman.com/ Those
of you who want to stay Friday and/or Saturday night, please make
arrangements with the Camp or Resort, yes there is a resort too at the
other end of the lake, float planes and even a See Bee fits nicely at
their dock. If you have questions or can volenteer to help out, please
give Al Paxhia a call (206-567-4346) or an email would be preferred at
paxhia2@comcast.net
