Ramble '06 - tentative plans
Posted: Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:43 am
Thanks Jack & Lianne !!
Of course we'd stop at Lyncrest !! :-) That would be great !!
Always enjoy a visit with good friends ! Hope to see all of them,
all they way out, and back ! :-)
Plans are very tentative at the moment - Walter Klatt has proposed
going to Arlington with a bunch of Western Rebels, then back to BC
for the Nimpo Lake float fly-in, then heading to Ontario to splash in
at Wayne's place in Temiskaming .... I'm feeling very unhappy,
because I still don't have my amphibs .... :-( They would then
go down to Oshkosh, and back home. This looks like a 4 or 5 week
Ramble - a bit much for many !
We'll have to kick it around - Arlington IS one of THE best shows ...
but we have to leave early to get out there.... Maybe we'll just go to
Chilliwack & meet them there & head back - that would make for
maybe a 2 or 3 week Ramble, giving folks the option of skipping OSH,
if they don't have time.
Lots of thinking & planning to do - looking for any and all feedback
from potential Ramblers - it IS 'navigation by consensus' !!! ;-) :-)
Drop us a note !

To the west on 2006!?!?! All right! And of course there will be a RON at
Lyncrest with the requisite BBQ party, right? Should we start tentative
planning?

Subject: Ramble '05 - scrubbed !
Hi Ramblers !
Well, we got rained out !! The few hardy souls who camped
at Gore Bay beat a hasty retreat home on Saturday morning,
only getting a 'little bit' wet ! One day wouldn't have hurt much,
but the forecast and radar images were pretty scarey, and it
looked like 3 or 4 days of possibly severe storms, so ......
We're just doomed to never get to Killarney for Fish 'n Chips !
Every time we plan for there, something happens !! :-(
I guess that's it for this year, but we'll have another look on
Monday or Tuesday - maybe we can get up to North Bay, or so,
and still get back to head down to Oshkosh. Will keep you posted !
Really sorry we can't get up to Kap to visit Peter and Hazel !
We'll keep trying !
Tentative plans for next year are a big Ramble to the West Coast
again, to bring back a bunch of Rebels for a Northern Fly-in here
at Wayne's place in Temiskaming, then down to OSH .....
Anybody here interested ?? How about some Quebecers ??
Any 'Down-Easters' ??
