This might be a really dumb idea but...
Is there any real need for the inboard CC 100 spacer? If you have the short
CC 54 locking the torque tube in place against the bearing then why do you
need to put the CC 100 on? Is it there to increase the strength of the end
plug/torque tube interface? The only reason I ask is that I think I will
come up a bit short on the thick wall tube to make the spacers, and it's a
pain to cut with a hacksaw.
