Major Setback C-FGAH

I went out this morning to follow Wayne's advice and put a couple of
hours on the engine. The engine fired up normally, but after about 10
seconds there was a loud crack and the engine quit. On investigation it
appears that the idler gear and the camshaft gear are no longer in mesh.
It's hard to see, but I suspect there are a few teeth missing from the
latter. Anyway, the engine is now out and will go back for warranty
repair on Monday. Not bad for 0.8 hrs TTSN.

I suppose it could have happened at 200' on takeoff!

At least it didn't happen at hour 24.5 You'll have to start your test
period over again. Hopefully it will be fixed quickly and you'll be back in
bussiness.
