Gascolator

I have an Andiar gascolator. When cleaning it during my annual, the
o-ring got mangled up. Found that Aircraft Spruce wants $6.00 U.S.+ for
a new o-ring. I found a place here in town with an equivalent Buna
o-ring for 71 cents!

Don't know if any of you hae the same type gascolator. If you do, you
want to look for a 54mm x 2mm replacement ring. If anyone needs one I
can give you the company name/address here in Denver.

Ted,
Be careful using Buna "O" rings in your Andair gascolator. The Andair
replacement is Viton which is compatible with auto fuel as wll as
anything presently in 100LL. Viton is the material used in the
elastomeric tips of carburetor float needles because of fuel
compatibilty and long life in the fuel environment.

My info is from Andy (Mr Andair).
