Murphy Renegade

G'day From Australia

Sorry for this off topic post, but we need some help and who better to ask
than the Rebel group!

A friend of mine has bought a 912 powered Renegade that was damaged in a
nose over accident, and a result the engine mount has been bent. He is quite
capable of repairing the mount, but needs some dimensions such as offset and
thrust line (etc).

We would appreciate any assistance or advice that would enable us to sort
out these problems.

Thanks and regards

Ian Donaldson

Hi Ian !

Even though it says "Rebel Builders", it really is a MURPHY
builders forum !! :-) I certainly wouldn't mind hearing from builders
of Renegades and/or Mavericks, as well - certainly some of the suggestions
here are 'portable' !

Sorry I can't help on the engine mount, but I'm sure if you dropped
a note to Robin at the Murphy factory, he would have the answers - and maybe
even a sketch from the manual !

Ian... I made a set of gear struts for a guy in Virgina by the name of Folis
Jones. He has a beautiful Renegade called "pussmouth" and has changed the
engine a couple times (currently has a Cont O-200 on it I believe). He may
have some insight and if nothing else you can join his wonderful jokes list
(now you know where I get half of them guys)! LOL> You can contact him at

G'day Wayne

Thanks for the information and I have sent him an email.

I will also join his jokes list. We could use a laugh just now!

Regards

Ian Donaldson

G'day Bob

Thanks for the response.

I was not sure if my off topic request would be well received, but who
better to ask than Murphy aircraft builders.
The wealth of information is just amazing.

We have sent an email to the factory and are awaiting a response. It is not
of major importance as we have a few other repairs to make!

Thanks again and regards

Ian Donaldson

There's a Renegade builder's list just like this one somewhere. I used to
lurk there but now I can't find the email address for it. Maybe Folis
knows.
