Congratulations on the arrival! Big, isn't it? And, welcome to the
wonderful world of figuring out the fast build. There should be a
sort of 'synopsis' of what tasks to do, but there is no "fast build
manual". You do, in fact, just figure out what has to be done. After
you get over the initial shock of this fact, it's really not all that
bad. There always seems to be a lingering doubt about having
forgotten some detail, which makes you check, re-check and check your
work again. Then, you simply go on to the next thing that seems
reasonable. Don't fool yourself, however, there's more work awaiting
you than you imagine!

Everyone here says hello!

to study the fuselage as I am preparing to go on my
expatriate home-leave back in the US during the month
of May. When I return to the UK in June I plan on
hitting the ground running. I completed the tail and
wings from the full kits almost two years ago and it's
been a long wait for the fuselage. I can tell it was
well worth it. It looks like it just a matter of
fitting it out with very little 'major' sheet metal
work, which I got my fill of on the tail and wing
kits.

I received the manual but didn't get a chance to study
it. It looks like it's the full assembly manual for
the kit which I received when I originally purchased
the full-build kits. I am supposed to go through it
and figure out what steps still need completing, or is
there a list somewhere with more detail? Or was there
supposed to be a separate fast-build manual and I
didn't get it?

Thanks, -Jason

Jason,
Have you seen the suggested sequence for the complete fast build on the MAM
site?

http://www.murphyair.com/images/PDF%20F ... quence.pdf

It is intended for the complete fast build but the last part is more just
fuselage. You still have to go to the main manual but it is a start.

Jason - Very Cool! In retrospect I wish I could go back in time and order it
all fast build. Nobody mentioned the value of "Don't try this at home" or
in my case - This would be very easy to screw up!

I just skinned my first tank-top and can't wait to leak test it - I
sometimes wonder if I have the stamina to pull this whole project off! But
boy is it pretty.

Happy days
