HI Ray,
I had the same old style rebound pucks in my 1800's and after 3 yrs of
replacing the ones that shifted out of place I ordered the new ones.

NOT free. I did use the spacers between the disc's, but not on the end's.

have 6 or 7 landings on the new style with no shifting and they do feel
slightly better on the ground. I did preload the system with that stack

Speaking of stack up's, we now have about 5" of snow on the ground as

this am with more to come. This is after 3 weeks of 60f+ weather with an

airplane 60 miles to
paint this afternoon! We've had heavy rain for two
days, but luckily (till I
get that plane loaded anyhow) it's stayed warm enough
to keep it liquid.
Calling for snow late this afternoon and I can't drop
the plane off until
7:30pm %(*$^^(!!

As for the gear rubbers......if anyone doesn't need
those old ones anymore
I'm more than willing to take what you have off your
hands. I like the old
rubbers in combination with the Bellville washers I
use to retain them and
add to the shock load value. Not sure yet what my
prebuilts have in them as
I can't pull the wheel out far enough to look at them
sitting in the crate
holders. MAM plumbed them cylinder to cylinder, with
fluid in the lines so
they are hydraulically locked in position..along with
the brake caliper
jammed against the brake line retainer strip cause
it's in the wrong
place... amongst a few other boo boos... like bottom
skin not clearanced in
the right place so the trailing arms can come down
etc. Going to be a bit
more work to get these onto an aircraft than I
thought, but not as much as
having to build from scratch !

Have to rub it in when I can, but went to the lake yesterday, and
it was like mid summer with shorts, tee shirt and all my vents
open in the plane to keep cool. Temps up the valley at the Hope
airport, which is not far from Harrison Lake hit 28 C/82 F
yesterday. On the way home, though, had to skirt around a mild
thunderstorm, and my wife was with me, so she wasn't too happy
with that.

I am using the big blue pucks which I switched to before I even
flew on my amphibs. I think these were the Elite nose gear ones.
I believe they are the same dimension as the new yellow ones, but
not sure about the stiffness. Mine are pretty stiff, but that's
how I like them, with no chance of bottoming out.
