62nd Murphy Builders Meeting

Hi All !
We had the 62nd Builders Meeting at Brampton on Sunday,
March 13th. There were several interesting discussions, and
Mike Jones did the Rebel Forum.
Mike entertained & educated by displaying his prototype
gull-wing door, and demonstrating the application of the
Everbright corrosion prevention solution. This is liquid nylon, in a
naptha solvent. It covers well, when applied with a rag,
roller, or brush, and dries to about a 1/2 mil film almost
instantly ! If scratched, it can be repaired by wiping with
a fresh cloth dipped in the solution - it just dissolves & blends
back in ! This is perfect for large surfaces - after assembly
with wet epoxy primer. It would be great for those who don't
want a painted Rebel, but don't like polishing either ...
polish once, coat with Everbright, and it is supposed to last
over 10 years outside !
I'm thinking this would be perfect for my new 1800 Amphibs ! :-)
We introduced the Copper Cleco Trophy - a new award to be
given out at each meeting, for the builder who has made the most
progress building his kit since the last meeting. Ron Leather won
this time - I've uploaded a photo to 217- R. Personalities.
The next Builders Meeting is SATURDAY May 7th - once a year
we move from Sunday, to avoid family problems over Mothers Day !
