At the short control tube located at left of control column and bolted
at bell crank MAM has you leave the rod end loose to allow for fore and
aft stick that would exceed the rod end rotation. This is not
acceptable to me and I was unable to locate a proper tube to cut for
Wayne O'Shea rod end spacers which may allow sufficient rod end
rotation.

So... Throwing US$24 at ACS netted a rod end swivel bearing which allows
360 degree rotation. It was necessary to turn the housing to fit inside
the short control tube which was shortened to the required length. This
allows unlimited rotation. The standard rod end was then threaded into
this fitting. The part # is 05-01021 and is shown on Pg 131 of the
03-04 catalog.

Ralph:

Do I understand correctly that you had to turn down the ACS part to fit the
tube? The illustration in the catalog does not quote the diameter. How
much do you have to take off it? I assume there's plenty meat left. Also,
I suppose you have to trade the standard MAM male rod end for a female one.

Al, That is correct on both counts. Seems like about 1/8" total diameter
reduction to fit inside the MAM supplied tube. There is plenty of stock
left. I will use one bolt and two rivets for final assembly. You do have
to adjust out the endplay in the rotating element but for anyone who can
interpret the MAM manual it is easy.
