I have seen them left straight, bent 90 degree, wrapped all the way
around
or just plan mangled??

For a solid wire to bug nut attachment, recommend you leave at least an
inch
(perhaps a little more if the excess wire end doesn't hit anything) on the
free side of a bug nut. Bending it 90 degrees at the bug nut would only
help in one direction if the bug nut were to loosen ... leaving it
straight
allows for some adjustments (either way) down the road should they be
needed.

Well if it is just an opinion you want - why didn't you say so?
We all thought you wanted something worthwhile ;)

Bend a little 270 degree loop if you are positive you'll never need to
remove the wire or adjust it and you have the room. You are almost
always going to want to remove it or adjust it though and it WILL
therefore extract vengeance and your blood sooner or later. At that
point an irresistable urge to mangle it may occur. You could
perhaps try to compromise with a little waviness then wrap it with
tape (preferably self fusing silicone tape) or heatshrink.
