Gilles ... we should be building the flap control (floor mounted) system in
the next few weeks. Think the cable will run with the elevator cables (on
top of the floor), then up from a pulley behind the aft cabin bulkhead, then
forward from another pulley to a carry thru flap tube. The cable run
(elevators and flap) will have a shroud over them to protect from cargo (and
people). This could change ... but that's the idea as of today.

Elite floor mounted flap handle

Hi Bob !

Maybe both of you should have a look at how Wayne did his setup.
I think there are photos on his website somewhere -
www.irishfield.on.ca

or maybe he will re-post them to the archives - they were there !

I think he ran a shaft out to the left side, and then a pushrod back
to a bellcrank to raise the standard bar that mounts the aileron bellcrank.
The floor mount was fairly far forward, just behind the big tube for the
sticks, so the shaft could run parallel to the tube, out to the left, I think.
OR - maybe you could just use a teleflex cable behind the seat and up....

Thanks Wayne ... I LIKE IT. Should have material to work with from the old
roof mounted system. Notices there's two notches of reflex ... how much
speed does it buy you?

Wonder if you need to be signed into the builders site first? Anybody else
have a problem clicking and not getting anything.

Ditto on the login ...

Wayne, from the flap handle lateral tube that goes to the left side, did you
go aft from the horn with a pushrod or Teleflex (along side the aileron
pushrod)... to the mixer? Also, I was wondering where to mount the hand
pump for the gear ... not any more, looks real good right there next to the
flap handle ... :-))
