Wing Tip Landing Lights Moose

If any one is interested I have a set of landing lights and wing tips for a
Moose for sale. These are the straight tips rather than the horton type
tips. I flew with them for about 1 year before changing them out for the
bigger ones.

Any reasonable offer will be considered.

Wing Tip Landing Lights Moose

I have posted a picture of the MAM STOL Moose tips beside a MAM standard
Moose tip. Posted under Moose modifications - did not see a wing tip
category. (what do you call two Moose side by side?)

At the time of this photo the landing lights were not avialable for the MAM
STOL tips. However, I understand that one set of landing light tips have
been shipped already. I want to install a set of tip lights as soon as I
have time order them.

Frankly the wing tip lights in the standard MAM tips look really good and I
expect the MAM STOL tips will look good with lights too.

Hi Ryan,

Now that I built my murphy "quick build wings", I am contemplating
cutting the leading edge for landing/taxi lights or installing them
in the new MAM tips. The last tips I did for my RV-8 were labor
intensive and not "as advertised". I'll assume Murphy is
underestimating the time and effort required for the new tip
installation and lighting kit. Your thoughts? can you email or
upload a picture of your new tips?

Wing Tip Landing Lights Moose

Mike,

I have installed version two of the MAM wing tips for the Moose - version
two is similair in apearance to the Horton STOL tip plus it adds about 8" to
each wing length. The bad news is that the old wing tip landing lights do
not fit the new MAM "version two" wing tips.

I agree that the orginal MAM wingtips were not flatering, but I do like the
new "version two" MAM tips. The first version of wing tips took me about 40
hours to fit. The new "version two" MAM tips went on in two evenings after
work - and that was working off of a pinic table and ladders as it was on
floats.

I have a pair of "version one" tips all fitted with lights if someone wishes
a fast ready to go installation.

I have a great picture of two sets side by side if you are interested.

Hi Mike , I have to agree with Ryan I have the new tips and they look very
good and seem easy to work with. I talked to MAM though and was told no
lights yet. Dale
