cowl question :was brampton meeting

I think normally the outlet should be bigger than the inlet because hot air
expands.

The openings on the MC=3B total aprox 110 square inches. Thinking I'll have
to leave the bottom hanging down 4-5 inches. with 1-2 inches past the
firewall and a 20deg. lip down.
Previously I had the "speed "cowl. The ch. temp was ok 375-400 but the oil
temp was 220-240 in normal flight this is in 22-24 deg. weather, not sure
what it will be like in warmer weather or on long flights, the longest so
far is 2 hours.

Leafs are out of the question and unless Wayne's got heat in his shop I
