Rebel - mod to Silver Matco wheels

Any old Rebel builders out there who used the old
Silver Matco wheels and machined a spacer to widen the
center of the wheel ???

There's a builder at that stage who would like to know
how wide the spacer was, and what material might be suitable.

All comments, and/or photos appreciated !

Thanks !

I've seen it done on the gold ones...but not the silvers (although they are
the ones that really need it!). I have the gold ones here and can measure if
ya like Bob!

I had the old gold wheels on mine, and remember putting on a
spacer that was supplied by MAM as an upgrade. I will probably be
down to my hangar some time this weekend, so can check mine as
well.

It's freeeezing cold here these days, and we had to fight our way
through 5 cm of snow this morning to get to work.

You're probably talking about the "disc's" that MAM made up for each side of
the wheel half's to strengthen the wheel center web Walter. I still have
these on mine and am still flying the gold wheels without problems..other
than a set of bearings every three years or so. Bob's wants to widen the
overall wheel wideth rim to rim with a spacer between the two halves.

BTW...Do you even own a shovel you lucky dog???????

Cheers,
Wayne

Poor baby that's right up to the top of your toe rubbers. And I see it's

Yes, you're right, it's like a crush plate on the outside, and
couldn't tell if there was one in between as well.

Hey, this old dog grew up in Manitoba, where the mosquitoes would
try to carry you off in the summer, and in winter we would dare
each other as kids to lick a steel post. So you'll have to
forgive me for gloating here once in a while.

You do have to laugh at the drivers here though when it does
snow. The media is always camped out at their favourite hills
first thing in the morning to film the show of cars bumping into
each other as they slide down. Then they put it to music and show
it on the evening news.
