Hi Ryan and All

I remember talking about rigging at OSH and want to verify.

I have rigged the flap's torque tube on my Moose to eliminate the flap's 5
degrees of reflex. The lowest position for the flap handle therefore is 0
degrees. This leaves me with three positions to increase flaps in the
positive direction (down).

Now onto rigging the ailerons. I assume I should rig them to match the
trailing edge of the flaps. This would mean without their 5 degrees of
reflex, leaving the whole airfoil, with controls neutral, without the
reflex.

Ryan (or others) can you confirm my thinking?

Another question that logically follows ... Do I still incorporate aileron
droop to follow the flaps as they go positive?

Do you have new flap handle? The one that provides full 36 Degrees of
movement?

I still use aileron droop and start even with both control surfaces, but
then the flaps move more than the ailerons of course after deployment.
You can move the whole control surfaces up and down after you test fly
to get just the right cruise feel.

My kit is SN 130 Aug. 2000. I measured my aileron deflection today and get
32 degrees. My flap brackets that hold the handle has four slot positions. I
have taken the 5 degrees reflex out so the bottom position is 0. A full pull
to the last notch yielded the 32 degrees.

Is this the NEW ????? flap handle set up?

I still use aileron droop and start even with both control surfaces, but
then the flaps move more than the ailerons of course after deployment.

Yes, there is a new flap system that gets you a few more degrees - I can
not remember if I get 40 Degrees or 36. But it is different. In Canada
the only way you can honestly meet the registration for the weight class
on the wing loading is to have the flaps move all the way down (the new
wing tips solve this wing loading issue too).

Is there pictures of the new flap system( I believe someone mentioned one
flap handle mounted in the roof) what other than this is different than the
others.

The flap system that I am speaking of is the standard factor flap system
- but with bigger spacing between the slots to get more deflection.
