MAM Customer Satisfaction - was SAFETY ALERT SR/Moose Quick

Reading this, I have to chime in here, too. I have known the
Murphy folks for a long time, and being close to the factory,
have often dropped in with a question, or to pick something up.
Seemed like they were always very busy trying to make some
project deadline, but they never hesitated to make time for me,
and I even felt guilty sometimes to interrupt them, as I knew
they were under the gun.
Mike, I can't imagine who at Murphy you might be referring to,
that you thought was arrogant. Sure doesn't sound like any of the
people that I know. Perhaps it was a customer manning the booth,
as that often happens with them so they can get a break.
As for service expectations, MAM is not your Lexus car dealer,
or even a Van's. They are just a bunch of hard working ordinary
folks that have more work they can handle, and are doing the best
they can with all their customers. And they have had some real
challenges, as we all know, with the Moose upgrade, and the
pre-built problems. And as with many of us, they probably bite
off more than they can chew sometimes, and then have trouble
delivering on time.
And as Wayne, says, they have always had delivery delays, and I
had them with my kit, too, and the floats, and that was a long
time ago. They have never been perfect with the parts either, but
with a few phone calls and emails, they eventually always came
through. Can't speak for the Moose manual, but the Rebel one is
pretty good, I thought, and that was the 10 years ago version. It
didn't have much on the finishing side, but by that time I had
lots of opportunity to see real live planes, and talk to lots of
people, so didn't have too much trouble figuring that part out.
Now, with this list, it should be easy. Even the Moose experience
and information on this list seems to be pretty good now, so for
anyone that has built any type of plane before, that shouldn't be
too tough either.
And remember, whether it's the Rebel, or the Moose, you are
getting a great product in the end, that just can't be beat in
its class.

Yes, I would like lots of things to be different, and
I have a long list.
Nothing has been so bad in my experience that would
keep me from doing the
project again, with all the same people, warts and
all. Lots of kit
manufactures have gone out of business and very few
have figured out what
Van knows. MAM likes to sail their ship (it's their
ship) on a different
course, but I believe they will be around for the long
haul, because the
basic product is good.
Pay your money and join the club by the time your kit
arrives all will be
well, with the help of this group. I have never had as
much fun and personal
satisfaction as what I have had building and flying the Moose.
That said, lets talk about fixing the issues.

I anxiously went to the Murphy tent last year at SNFthe booth, but mythe
Moose. I don't remember the name of the gentleman atsame way. I was eagerfirst
impression was one of arrogance. My wife felt thewas interested in wasto
ask questions and get some information and all heget their pamplets andselling me a brochure. Most companies are eager tothe need to chargeinformation out to the public for free yet they feelkickers, but I have builtfor it. I
understand they probably get a bunch of tiresome idea of what I'mand
flew 2 planes and I'm working on my third so I havefor what others aretalking about.
