MAM Customer Satisfaction - was SAFETY ALERT SR/Moose Quick

Well said Wayne and Al I to have had issues, as everyone has, all have
been resolved so far and I would highly recommend a kit as mine to anyone
other than the manual has a lot to be desired however I can figure some
things out for myself and I'm sure these guys on here will help where they
can. If you compare numbers I'm sure when MAM has sold as many kits as VAN
has all will be 100% also. As you write about the brochures someone has to
pay for them (nothings free in life anymore) either the tire kicker pays for
them or you pay for everyone elses brochure when you pay for your kit. At
the price of the kit I for myself am glad I only had to pay for one brochure
and it was well worth it. Thanks for all the help you guys have been . Just

Yes, I would like lots of things to be different, and I have a long list.
Nothing has been so bad in my experience that would keep me from doing the
project again, with all the same people, warts and all. Lots of kit
manufactures have gone out of business and very few have figured out what
Van knows. MAM likes to sail their ship (it's their ship) on a different
course, but I believe they will be around for the long haul, because the
basic product is good.
Pay your money and join the club by the time your kit arrives all will be
well, with the help of this group. I have never had as much fun and
personal
satisfaction as what I have had building and flying the Moose.
That said, lets talk about fixing the issues.

I'm just a lurker on this e-mail list as I dream of one day building a
Moose
and flying to Alaska, but it seems to me that there are plenty of issues
with MAM and disgruntled customers.

I anxiously went to the Murphy tent last year at SNF to get more info on
the
Moose. I don't remember the name of the gentleman at the booth, but my
first
impression was one of arrogance. My wife felt the same way. I was
eager
to
ask questions and get some information and all he was interested in was
selling me a brochure. Most companies are eager to get their pamplets
and
information out to the public for free yet they feel the need to charge
for it. I
understand they probably get a bunch of tire kickers, but I have built
and
flew 2 planes and I'm working on my third so I have some idea of what
I'm
talking about.

I hope my impressions are wrong, but I was looking for what others are
experiencing before I decide to spend my money.
