Hi,

I am interested in the group feedback on a Sloshing Sealer I need to use
in my fuel tanks.

Since I am going to use non aviation fuel mostly and it may contain some
alcohol additives, I wasn't sure which one to use. the Randolph #912 is
Alcohol Resistant Sloshing Sealer but it says "Not for aviation fuel
tanks". What do you guys use?

Thanks,

Ted

The " not for aviation fuel tanks" is a liability disclaimer....for the
obvious reasons. Then it gives you directions on the can on how to slosh
your aircraft fuel tank!

That said...DON'T DO IT !!! Fix them properly at all cost.

Cheers,
Wayne

Hi Ted !

Just to echo Wayne - DO NOT USE SLOSHING SEALER !!!

Generally, all you end up with is a big mess in the tank, or it peels
off in sheets & plugs the screens, sooner or later !! This topic has been
beaten up several times - do a search on the archives !!

I know of several aircraft that have been disassembled to have the
mess removed - it just is NOT the solution !! You might as well put in the
required inspection holes, reach inside, and ProSeal up the leaks properly
now, instead of later ....

Don't forget to clean the surfaces thoroughly, and use the ProSeal
Adhesion Enhancer to improve the bonding on surfaces that have had
fuel on them.

Good Luck !!
