Optional Equipment & Prices

I have been thinking of purchasing the last sub-kit #3 ( I have sub-kit 1 & 2 already) what optional equipment would be good to add? I know to add the float attachment points.

Another thing is that Murphy Website had stated that the price will increase by 6% and to contact them for the new price. I did contact them and they e-mail me the Canadian prices and said that the Canadian price will not be changing ( $8538.00 CDN for kit # 3), the price in US funds before the 6% increase was $6570.00. When converting from US to CDN you would of been paying less as a US customer then a Canadian.I guess the best thing would of been to order sub-kit # 3 in the US dollars before the 6% increase.

If you want spring gear let me know. The original owner of my project had
selected that option but I intend to use standard strut gear instead, when I
get to that point. (I'm going for low weight more than cruise speed.)

Hi Gary !

With the Rebel fuselage kit, the float fittings are indeed "A Good
Thing"(tm) ;-) There's an extra fitting that goes inside the float
bulkhead that MAY be included now (it was on the Elites) - check the
archives for the part number (or Wayne's memory ! ;-) ) You
might as well put these in while you're building !

The only other things you'll need are 4 or 5 extra ST-28's, and one
extra FUS-30 - these are needed for "The Ontario Mods" ;-) :-)

You should also get a set of firewall reinforcing plates from Wayne,
or follow his sketches and make your own. If you don't already have them,
the McKenzie STOL kit and Fife Hoerner wing tips are both highly recommended
additions to the wings - they'll greatly improve performance, handling,
and safety !

Depending on your experience level/desire for instruction, checkouts on
amphibs and/or tailwheel, the Murphy dual brake kit could be a worthwhile
addition, also......

That's about it ! Delivery could be about 3 months or so, so don't wait
too long to order ! ;-)
