I havn't studdied the control setup very much, so forgive me if this sounds
stupid, but what about just creating a "Johnson bar" setup by simply
extending the mixer arm all the way forward between the seat and sidewall?
That way you would have a linkage/slop-free system that would allow you to
directly change the position of the aileron bellcrank. Has anyone tried it
that way? I will probably build mine standard anyway, but just thought I
would bring it up.

Damn Jesse.....that's just too darn simple...why would we want to take the
easy way out???? :o)) BUT you're probably right...with the right shape to
get it below the door sill you could probably do just that with a pegging
plate at the front door post for each position. Worth looking at for
sure!...but would be a pretty long "handle" so to make it flex free it would
have to be pretty stout.

Yes it is a good idea but it gets ugly fast though. A separate lever on
a fulcrum to clear the aileron push tube and increase the leverage and
throw. Allowing for reflex. Getting it low enough to to not get severely
"goosed" while entering the cockpit. However if it wasn't for that
horizontal aileron push tube....

Naw - what Bob P. said - I'm leaving mine as it is (according to the
manual)!

Bob I should be at the meeting Sunday. If nobody has a better idea, I
could talk for a couple of minutes on simple low voltage warning devices
and overvoltage protection if you want.
