Scott asked several questions so I'll try to fill in the best I can. I
live in central Pennsylvania, started my kit a long time ago(it seems)
as a Super Rebel when they first came out serial #033 got my tail kit.
My business commitments and other hobbies kinda took me away from it for
a while, then I wanted to have my eaa chapter inspect the frame works
before I closed them and had a hard time getting someone to do that.
Then I got back working on it ordered wings in a fast build version.
After ordering them and waiting Colleen offered the wings off the old
Super Rebel to me I bought them and ordered a fast build fuselage was
told it would be a while so (being in business myself , I hate people
bugging me with constant phone calls ) I didn't bother checking till 14
months later to see when I could pick the things up and was told the
order was lost. Well after some cool off time we got it straightened
out . I picked the items up at MAM last November and found out my garage
was not big enough for my business and plane building also so I built a
piece to work on the plane this summer myself and moved in is September
all has gone well except for all the updates , parts missing, was
encouraged when found out new manual was coming out WAS needs to be
emphasized do to Bridget (I believe was her name is no longer there
anymore). Anyways I must commend Robin he has been very helpful. I have
since decided to make it a full MOOSE bought a lycoming IO-540 M1B5D
engine and 3 blade prop for it and selling the wings and bought the
Moose wings for it. Any suggestions anyone has that I should know about
would be greatly appreciated. Sorry so long but this is my story.
Thanks Dale Fultz P.S. New wings were to be shipped 11/23/04 If you
need my e-mail address is dfultz@countryilink.net

Me and my Moose
Me and my Moose
Dale,
That is one of the more interesting evolutions of a Moose. Everyone seems
to have a MAM story of some sort. It sure seems Robin and Brent are busting
their butts to get things straightened out now.
There are a couple of Moose owners with the Lycoming on the list that will
be helpful when you get to the engine install phase. Al Paxhia,
paxhia2@comcast.net, has over 400 hours on his Moose with the Lycoming.
Scott
