I went with compression blocks glued in place.
I don't know how you'd get the rear bolt in once the floor corner wraps
inin place. The nut goes in via the inspection cutout in the door sill.
Also, your fuel line is probably going to wind up coming out above the
forward bolt, so again you'd have a hard time getting the bolt in from
above.

Nig, one more before I get back in the shop! I Sikaflexed the blocks
merritwhereplace. Any thing..proseal, RTV etc would do.
The single 3/8" leg retainer bolt I put the nut on the outsid.....it's easy to properly torque. The saddle bolts probably have some
onbendinggoing in from below as if you stripped a nut in a hard arrival thepropbolt might crate enough friction to hold you up somewhat to negate aoverstrike.....although it definitely will add a bit of work to switchingandto the float brackets like you have envisioned!
