scott tail wheel mounting

hi all

perhaps some one could suggest what to use to bolt the scott tail wheel to
the steel spring, was planing on an8-16 bolt, but should i use fibre nut or
castle nut ?

One or the other...otherwise it will just fall off ! :o))

Seriously..mine's never loosened (going into my 10th year) and it's held on
with a fiber nut AN365-8

Hi Mike
My german instructor from drager breathing apparatus had 2 torque values
shnug and gut'n'tight ;)
If that's a 3/8" fine thread bolt torque it to 160-190inch pounds. If it's
3/16" I think you need something stronger but the torque is 20-25"lbs.

As tight as you can get it with a standard issue wrench in your hand!

480 to 690 in lbs (40 to 58 ft-lbs)
