Hydraulic installation into my Rebel
Posted: Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:40 am
Finished up my hydraulic installation yesterday... for skis and amphibs
(about 19 hr TT for installation). I had to be different and mount the pump
on it's side..beside my flap handle. Made plumbing with all solid tube a lot
easier...and also reinforced the floor as well!
Also got that darn pump handle out from between the seats...... so I don't
lose anything important when I scramble across the seats and out the
passenger door to catch a dock!
Just need my Aeroquip 303 line's from fuselage to skis and I'm ready for
winter...if nothing leaks! ;O))
Posted 6 pics to Rebel - Float installations. One picture shows how I
adapted the 5/16 hose barb on the reservoir to 3/8 hose and at the same time
reversed the direction so the hose could stay tucked against the side and
firewall getting to the pump. All lines are alum or stainless with the
exception of the pump inlet line from the reservoir and the selector
"exhaust" port to tank line.
Cheers,
Wayne
