Bulkhead to Spar Reinforcement

Post by brad » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:40 am

One last task to complete the tail assembly on the Rebel.

MAM says to fabricate a Bulkhead to Spar Reinforcement
This attaches to the aft flange of the horizontal bulkhead (FUS-31)
And then to the Vertical Tail piece (ST-24)

According to MAM (with Waynes help) this reinforcement Should extend 3 1/4"
on to the Horizontal bulhead (FUS-31).

Here's my question. Is there any benefit to extending the length of the
reinforcement on the FUS-31 to have it tie into the top of the tailspring
bulkhead (FUS-45)

Thanks again,

Brad (R195)

Bulkhead to Spar Reinforcement

Yes extend it all the way to the top of Fus-45....or if you want ahead of
the small lightening/access hole (that you need to cut out to match for
access to tailspring bolt)

Also when you make it DO NOT drill the holes where MAM shows to bend the
rivet tab up. This just gives it somewhere to crack again. Just take the
side cuts straight back following the shape of the FUS-31 and bend your tab
up from there. I also add a "J" bend to the forward end to add a bit of
reinforcement..... but it's not absolutely necessary. Have sent you a
personal email with a picture in it. Will post to the R- fuselage section as
well.

Cheers,
Wayne

Sounds like you're trying to connect directly to the old homepage, instead
of just the site address... try using the link at the bottom of the message
and let me know if that works.

Yep that brings me to the subscribe/unsubscribe page!

My "favourite" points to this
http://www.dcsol.com:81/default.htm
that then brings up the box for my name/password. This is what doesn't work
and it DID work yesterday. Might be at my end....but ????

Nope, it's not at your end... Each security group has it's own default page
now, and the catch all "default.htm" is gone... that's why you're having
trouble. Your saved favorite is trying to load an explicit page, and
because of the changes I've made, that page isn't there anymore. The new
link I put at the bottom of the message only logs you in so that the system
can then determine which page to send you based on your security group. The
link I was talking about is:

https://www.dcsol.com/login?mode=HTML

You could also use the following if you don't want to use SSL:
