Throttle Spring

Just want to know what the popular opinion is for installing throttle
springs on engine the engine throttle - in the event that the throttle cable
were to relieve itself of its duty the spring would cause the engine to run
a full throttle rather than idle. I am thinking full throttle is easier to
deal with then idle?

Which is better - sring to full throttle or no spring and idle when cable
fails?

Mine is spring loaded open. If I had a mixture control, I'd make sure it
was the same - . There are lots of ways to shut off an engine but no
other way to open the throttle if the cable disconnects.

I guess it might be tougher to deal with quickly if it went to full
throttle on the ground but everything has tradeoffs.

FULL THROTTLE ! you can always turn it on and off to control power. Idle is
useless for anything unless you're still taxing on the lake!
