Moose Stab.

Hi Bill, I posted the pictures that say "official MAM stab hinge reinforce"
as that was what Brian from Murphy sent and said it was. Those are all
aluminum pieces with the original tip rib. However the "service bulletin"
that is in the works says "both" the stab fix and wing fix is going to be
4130 or stainless steel when it "officially" comes out.
There are some other pictures that show Warrens mod and he remade the entire
outboard rib thicker but it is still aluminum, .040 I think. I know others
had a thicker outboard aluminum rib made up also.
I am not sure at what kit number they made the change but now the rear spar
doubler L channels run the full length of the spar out under the outboard
hinge. If yours is like that you shouldn't need anything except the internal
"fix". If yours does not it probably has some "packers" (which is Canadian
for "spacer" just behind the outboard hinge bracket. We removed these
spacers and added two pieces of L channel that run down the spar towards the
center 6 to 8 inches. This is what MAM did on the original demonstrator.
Maybe Ryan Mowat will chime in and know more about the "official" fix as he
lives near the factory and seems to work pretty close with them on "fixes".

I saw pictures of someone that reinforced the end rib on the horizontal
stabilizer of the moose in the archives. Was the outboard rib made with 4130
or stainless steel ? also did you reinforce the spars that is attached to it
as that was what Brian from Murphy sent and said it was. Those are all
aluminum pieces with the original tip rib. However the "service bulletin"
