I am VE3GFZ, but my gear is unfortunately still in boxes since our last
move, and likely to remain there until my Elite has been flown and got all
the bugs worked out.

I'm also a Ham VE3OUY but all of my gear has been packed away since I
had to take the tower down ...but I am available via internet when ever
I'm home (just got back from a week of Moose hunting ...we got a nice
young bull)

Thanks for all your replies. I never realised there were so many of you/us.
My HF gear is hooked up but still the Elite takes up most of my free time,
and band conditions are pretty unreliable on occasion. (planning on a IC706
in my Elite though :-) )

Can I suggest we try Echolink, the computer and internet based means of
talking ?

If you have a speaker and microphone on your computer go to www.echolink.org
and download the program. When you register with your callsign it will
likely take a few hours to be activated, then you can call CQ all over the
world from your PC.

Cheating really but very effective and 5/9 all the time.

If you fancy a QSO on that program when you are set up then drop me an email
direct and we'll try to find a convenient time.

If you set my callsign (and any others) into the alarm dialog, the system
will make a noise at you whenever I am on (my callsign will also show up in
red - you'll get the idea when you start, very easy really)
