Subject: List server update

About 380 e-mail addresses have been re-subscribed to the list... I'm
sure many of those addresses are no good any longer, and those
addresses were taken from the actual messages in the archives, so
anyone who never posted didn't get one... but every e-mail address
that has posted a message was re-subscribed. Of course it's up to
each individual to reply to the confirmation e-mail to turn it back
on... I didn't forcibly subscribe anyone. Also, anyone who sends a
message to the old address will get a response back telling them about
the change.

Wayne's son Daryl O'shea has done a lot of work to recover all the old
message archives. Over the weekend he posted over 14,000 messages to
a separate database I setup for him. Do to some issues with how the
messages
ordered while uploading he has decided to try it again, but no matter
how this next try turns out, I've already got all the archives back
again and will be making them available for searching again soon.

I really appreciate everyone's understanding over the loss of the list
server, and for all the offers for help.

Mike

I have heard that these need to be checked now and then and can be
the source of "funny" sound as the exhaust rattles around. I
haven't heard
of
anyone putting any sealant in there but am not sure. Looks like
they
have
nut and a lock or jam nut on each one.

The engine guys (and gal) that used to lurk on here probably don't
know about the list address changing. If no one has already, I'm
going to
send
Jill & Carl, George and the Kimball's a quick note letting them know
about
the change.

Can you reach it with just the cowl opened up or does it look like
you'll
have to take the lower cowl off?

Scott

I noticed today that my lower exhaust assembly came apart at a
hose-clamp joint. It will likely be no big deal to put it back
together, other than taking the cowl off. My question is whether
one should use some high-temp sealant where the two exhaust pipes
join, or, just put 'em back together and crank the hose-clamp down
tighter...

Thanks,

Ted
