Well it's finally warm in Fairbanks again... and I started working on my
elevator. I've got the basic structure together, haven't started on the
trim tab yet. The question I've got is about the two stub ribs in the
center that run up to the diagonal end ribs in the middle opening. I made
everything per the manual, and it all lines up with the holes in the skin...
but those two short ribs end up nested inside the diagonal ribs. I'm just
wondering if this is alright... I can't see that it would do anything more
than make a small bump in the skin if that, but thought I'd ask. If I trim
it to fit there will be very little material left around the last rivet
hole. I've got a photo so you can see exactly what I'm talking about here:

Thanks Warren,
I thought about notching the flange on the V ribs, but that would have left
very little meat around one of the holes on them. Seems that cutting either
rib down so it doesn't interfere with the other causes that problem, even
trimming both a little gets pretty close. Thats why I just left them nested
like they are for now. Unless I hear that this will cause a problem, I will
probably just leave them like they are.

narrow 'V'.
As per Waynes suggestion I moved my 'V' ribs outward which as you say
causes the shorter rib to overlap. As I was dimpling what I did was
dremel a small notch in the V ribs to give clearance to the short rib
pilot hole. I then assembled with the short rib tucked inside the 'V'
rib. I ened up with only a very slight hump in that area. I think I also
tried to slightly change the radius of the short rib bends in that area
to reduce the deformation of the 'V' ribs. It'll be slightly more
noticeable on mine as I've dimpled and filled all holes flush. Even so
it's not very noticeable.
Looking at your photo, you won't need to notch as I did to accomidate
the dimpling.
