Sorry looking rivets??

Paul, we are curious as to what was wrong with the fast built riveting? I
spent some time in a salvage yard sitting in gutted Cessna's, decided our
"Philippine riveting" was perfect compared to them. I do believe they have
different workers now than when ours was built.

MAC had the Moose on the line, a Renegade, JDM and the sorry looking
'Philippine riveted' Rebel fuselage with the Rotec radial on display. I don'
t buck a lot of rivets but if that was my display I probably would have
covered the fuselage with a tarp! Wish the radial had a lot of hours on it
before I chose a Subaru. Nice looking engine.
No pictures as the battery on the Sony digital went south at the Splash In
on Friday.

Sorry looking rivets??

OK guys, here is the real story. That rebel fuselage was the last item to
come to us from a different shop than the one still operating (very
successfully) and which built yours Scott. They have 9 Moose (plus an RV-10
and a bunch of other stuff) on order, and offer builder assist after the
Fast Build stage to turn key.
The same shop which built this Rebel built an Elite and a Maverick for us,
which were not too bad, so I guess the rookies were thrown at this bit. No
idea why it was decided to take it to a show.

Apparently they are not in an agreement with them anymore. I believe Daryl
& Bob P both said that MAC was attempting to do most or all of the work in
house now. The rivets were covered with smiles's, half-moons and some
pretty unfinished parts before riveting. Their comments, not mine!
