New Elite wing tip.

I got a form letter in the mail from MAM saying they had new tips for the Elite. Given the quality of the tips that came with the original kit, I don't think I'd be inclined to buy from them, especially when there are excellent tips already available from Dave Fife. I think MAM is trying to expand the market for their Moose tips.

I find it interesting that Colleen has the time to sell wingtips, when I have been waiting for an answer to a technical question for almost three weeks, with no response from Brian or from Colleen, to whom the question was referred.

As to the "Elaine" question, if it is true that Darryl said she had been fired, that was certainly an inappropriate response to Paul's problem. A good boss never badmouths an employee to a customer. A good boss recognizes that HE is ultimately responsible for what goes on at his company. It makes me wonder how forthright Darryl would be if a problem were discovered with one of his planes.

I am just off the phone to Colleen at Murphy. She tells me that the new
drooped wing tip developed for the Moose is been put on an Elite; they
should have numbers soon. She suggest that the stall speed may be lowered by
about 5kts. The down side, I was quoted $US400. Does anyone have any
information???

If those tips make the job, $400.00 is not so bad if you compare that I have
pay $630.00 (with landing liht kit) for the Fife ones on my Rebel! It is
probably a deal!

New Elite wing tip.

Well Hello Mr Hauri: This is Elaine. The answer to you question below is YES
Darryl did indeed fire me today as a matter of fact. I called and made an
appointment with his secretary for a meeting this afternoon as i was to
return to work this week and when I arrived he seemed to be too busy to see
me. More like too much of a coward to see me so he had his account Dean do
his dirty work for him as always.. I am sorry if I sound bitter at this time
but after 11 years with Murphy Aircraft the only reason Dean could give me
for firing was redirection of the company..
When I asked him for that in writing he said he didn't have to give me an
excuse and sent me on my way..HMMMMM isn't that the same thing he says to his
customers...
Have a great day!!
It was a pleasure to know you!!
Elaine
