Great !! Now that Ramble '99 is almost over, I'm hoping we'll get LOTS
of people REGISTERING (send $5, with name, address, tel. no., & aircraft)
for the Rebel Ramble 2000 to the West Coast.

The only way we can plan, or make any arrangements, is if we have some
COMMITTED flyers !! We send out Ramble newsletters with updates, at least
a couple of times before the planning meeting, so the $5 gets chewed up in
postage & printing, but at least we know who's coming. It's not a major
disaster if you're registered, and can't come at the last minute, but that's
easier to handle than having 30 Ramble buttons made up, and having 60 people
show up - or booking a fly-in BBQ for 30, and having 70 arrive !!

Rebel Ramble 2000 will leave the Toronto area on July 7th or 8th,
and meander south of Lake Superior, across the prairies, through the
Rockies,
out to Chilliwack. There might be a side trip to 'Alaska'. There will be
sessions on mountain flying techniques along the way, as well as visits to
aircraft museums, several enjoyable parties with other flying clubs,
RAA chapters, etc. We plan to return East along a similar route, to arrive
at Oshkosh about July 23rd, and Ramble on home about August 6th. We try to
alternate longer & shorter flying days - 3 to 4 hours, to maybe a max. of
6 hours, depending on the inclinations of the group.

One of the priciples of Rambling is 'navigation by consensus' - we go
and stop at different places based on suggestions.

So don't be shy guys !! Please REGISTER by the end of '99, at least !!
You don't have to fly a Rebel to come - we've had everything from Bonanzas
and RV's to Champs and Taylorcrafts on Rambles - EVERYONE WELCOME !!

<end of plug> <big grin !!>

ps
Geez !! Wish <I'D> registered 'rebel.com' - I could have a new Super
Rebel on amphibs right now !! :-)

Have updated your address on a couple of older lists - hope I got 'em
all now !

Hi Bob

Thanks for the update. I don't think we will make the mini ramble in 99
but hopefully we ca make the 2000 version to Chilliwack etc.

By the way, I noticed that you still have my web address as
rebelair@aol.com. I have not changed this to rebelair@idirect.com.

Also noticed in my reading that someone is spending $5,000,000 to trademark
the address Rebel.com!

As several have noticed, a wall of Really Nasty weather (hail,
lightning,
floods, and at least one reported tornado !!!) got between us and our
destination of Winnipeg. So, after a short flight on Saturday, we're all
back in Brampton ....

This is an opportunity for those who didn't think they could come
along
- you can join us now for a mini-ramble !! Likely just mooch around
Ontario
- possibly to Wiarton, Collingwood, Goderich, Parry Sound ......

As usual, it's "navigation by consensus", so drop us an email, or
phone us at: (905) 457-5238 with suggestions for destinations, and to
let us know where you can join us.

Hope we get lots of company !!!

Don't forget to book your vacation time NOW for "The Big One" next
year. Rebel Ramble 2000 leaves Toronto on July 8th, for the West Coast,
possibly 'Alaska', and back to Oshkosh ! Returning to Brampton on August
6th.
All kinds of aircraft welcome, so fly along, for a day or 2, or the
whole 'trip of a lifetime' !!

Drop us a line for more info ....
