Reamers for tight fit.

It only required 4 reamers - 3/16, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8. These where
straight flute " hand reamers" which I ran in a variable speed rechargable
drill. It does make a much better job. - Bob J Rebel 652

I would add that most AN bolts are a bit undersized and to get a snug fit,
which is usually desirable, you may need to use undersized reamers. For
example in the 3/16 inch family we have .1855, .1865 .1870 and .1875.

We always start with the smallest reamer and see how the bolt fits,
enlarging as needed to get a tight fit. Also note that all your bolts are
not the same size. Micing them will show size. If one bolt is a little loose
sometimes trying others will provide a tight fit.

Maybe someone has already mentioned this but along the line that AN bolts
are "a bit" undersized; along with reaming there are also the AN17 series
"close tolerance" bolts that are a few thousandths bigger in each size. I am
about to order a few 1/4 in. AN174 bolts from Aircraft Spruce.....
