Fellow SR2500 builders - a note about building the cabin:

Cabin Assembly - Chapter 9-2-29 step 118 tells you to rivet sill in =
place - DON'T - see Chapter 9-3-3 step 12-5 tells you that the sill will =
have to be removed at later date. We have confirmed this with Grant =
from MAM - please call MAM to get details if needed.

Hi all, for whatever it is worth, I too have been sniffing at that SR =
2500. I now have the Subaru junkyard engine powered Rebel ( 75 hours on =
it). I hate to lay it out in the open, but I will be 68 in October and =
the only way I will build another airplane, especially the size of an SR =
2500 will be through a quick-build kit. After all I would like to fly it =
in this life if at all possible. Although I have some beefs with the =
Murphy people( total or near total lack of communications with their =
finished builders), especially compared to many others, they are first =
class people. They do seem to lack the obvious sales philosophy that if =
you have a whole bunch of happy builders flying around passing the =
gospel about your aircraft YOU ARE GOING TO SELL MORE OF THEM. Plain =
and simple. I think you people that bought the SR2500 made a terrific =
choice and I think like one of the fellows, that things will pick up =
fast.
The firewall forward situation remains a delicate business. No way would =
I pay those idiotic prizes for new Lycoming and Continental.
By the way I thought those prizes were coming down considerably after =
the lawsuits were fixed (and correctly so) in their favor? There is no =
300 hp Subaru, I might go the route of an SVX though and although I love =
the idea of the 14P, how am I going to fit one of those on a nosewheel =
SR-2500? Ideal for the seaplane boys though. So I'll wait to see what =
Murphy comes out with quick-build wise on this machine. Geert Frank
