Midland Ski Fly In - Feb 7 2004
Posted: Sat Feb 18, 2012 8:56 am
In regards to our ski fly in that is planned for this Saturday 10am to 1pm
(or longer if a beautiful day)...we currently have some concerns in regards
to the ice condition, as this past Sunday the entire area was covered in
overflow beneath the snow.
Bruce Tinney and myself will be checking out the Harbour surface sometime
Friday afternoon to see if (thanks to the warm weather for two days and
hopefully a huge temperature drop over the next couple) that this wetness
will be turned into solid ice.
I will post our findings on Friday afternoon and if it's still wet the flyin
will be postponed until further notice (or possibly moved back to St.
Andrews lake where we've been in the past... if that lake is any better). If
it's hardened up sufficently then we will be a tentative go at that point
and I will post again by 8/8:30 Sat am as to whether the weather is allowing
us to proceed. If not... then Sunday will be the same early morning post in
regards to weather.
Cheers,
