Tail Fin Install

I have one that is the same way you will need to make some shims out of some
scrap to fill the gap I used some 8-32 screws to pull the whole mess togeather
To try and fit a new tail wrap would be much harder and you stand a good
chance of doubling some holes

Tail Fin Install

We were installing the tail fin this week end on our fast build Moose and
found that when the fin is located o he rear bulkhead as per instructions
and the opening for the stab is kept parallel between the fin and the bulk
head, the spar doubler will not go all the way down to meet the tailwrap.
There will be about 7/16 open area between the doubler and the tail wrap.

The tail wrap was installed by MAM when the kit was assembled at the quick
build plant. All the rivet hl's are already in to size along the edges of
the tail wrap. They only installed temp. rivets to hold it in place. If we
take out the temp rivets and pull the trail wrap up to where it should be
the rivet holes will be going on an angle and create some elongated rivet
holes.

Can we just leave this as is as all the rivets will still be going down the
sides of the spare and the spare doubler but will not be in the lower tabs
of the doubler? ? ? This is where the tail wheel goes thru.

Can I just fill in the space so that we can get some rivets into the tabs of
the doubler? ? ?

Already made the four side doublers to go onto the rear spar (2 each side)
and installed the "L" doublers into the spar.

Any info would be of help.

Thanks
