3500 Wing Spars

Wing spar observation -
Got the right wing spar all drilled to 40 and all of the left side except for
the tip extensions. I looked at the Fig 14 and noticed that the end view shows
the tip extenders nested outside the main spar. Good time to stop for the
night since I put the right side tip extentions on the inside of the main
spar. A call to tech support and Brian said that he puts them on the inside
so I am all set. I was woried it would change a rib dimension down the road
but I guess not. You gotta love it when you make a mistake and it turns out
ok!!
Also - I groveled with the lightening hole cutouts trying to use the suggested
fly cutter - tried a milling bit (lasted 5 minuits for $5 and a pain to drive)
for the drill, burned out my dremel tool and was eating up lots of time when I
got a pack of 34 tooth metal blades for my jig saw - I have never had so much
fun with that thing - Did the whole left spar and it hasn't even started to
wear.
