Hi guys and Happy 100th Aniversary of Flight. We celebrated today with a
22 aircraft single file circuit flight from the St catharines Niagara
district airport with the first Aircraft (Decathalon) taking off at
precisley 10:35 A.M. I was No 5 with my Murphy Rebel C GIWH. The event
was organized by one of our Flying Club members Bill French and his wife
Ellen. Our original plan was to fly around the Niagara area, however
with deteriorating weather at that time we where forced to limit our
flight to an extended circuit only with 5 aircraft at a time. We even
had two separate news media coverage fliming our sincronized start-up
and 30 second take off spacing. It was real inspiring to see 22 active
aircraft at one time. It sure would have been nice to have had more
Rebels.- We can out climb just about anything on the field. To all you
guys still building- definately keep at it - it is worth it. Bob J.
Rebel "652" ( 3 separate flights to-day, 162 hours total , 105
passengers total)
