That's odd, I could have sworn Britt told us that he had the larger opening on
his skin... he has SR194. I haven't even looked at mine yet, SR195... guess I
should check this out.

Thanks Wayne. I have 14 1/8 I guess. I guess they didn't fix it before kit
SR222. Does anyone know if you can return old style skins and get the new
ones?
I am just starting my elevator so I havn't drilled anything on the skin yet.

Oh I'll check it for sure... I had originally thought that I'd need to modify
it, then Britt said (I think) that his was correct, and since mine came after
his I quit worrying about it. I'm glad that it has come up now, before I
started on the elevator! I'm actually going to have 2 weeks off over the
holidays, so one of my goals is to get the heat running in my shop... once
that's done I'll be able to start on the elevator.

Thanks, Mike

WELLLLLLL! I would suggest he takes the measurements I provided and checks
again, as should you!.You already had your kit in AK (if my failing memory
is correct!) when I pointed out this interference problem Mike and it took
some time for MAM to agree that the skin trim back was the way to go
......as opposed to making a mess of those nice new double .063 spar caps
and then the need to reinforce the mess by adding angles inside the rear
spar surface of the rear fin post after you have removed all the strength
from the caps.
