trying it out

To all those whom haven't taken the plunge of kit building, try what you
want out before you buy it. I had a flight in another 2 place kit plane.
Engine screeming at around 6,000 rpm. cold air comming in all over. This was
a relatively new plane. I'm sure glad I built a Rebel. What a difference.
Each to their own. I just suggest you try it out first so as not to
disappointed after spending years building only to find out your not to
happy .

Good Luck
Murray

Man I wish I could get a ride in a Rebel. Might be the shot in the arm I
need to get this project back on the front burner! I've just never been in
the right place at the right time though. If anyone within a couple hundred
miles from central Ohio wants to give a fellow builder a ride shoot me an
email!
Thanks.

Hi Joel:

If I was anywhere close we would be going for a ride. Hope somebody else can
help you out.
Your right ,it's a fairly long haul on the building end of things. Like Bob
says, It's worth it. and he is right. When your rolling down the runnway the
first time and it takes off you'll have so much emotion your not sure what
to think, your years of work has paid off, your life is in your faith in
your machine, the personal sacrifices from family is over, heard of Utopia
or Nirvana. Well this is as close as it gets.

Good luck

Murray

And Joel, if you ever make it up to Vancouver BC, I am often
looking for an excuse to go flying. And that goes for anyone
else. I've taken a few on this list for rides, and know what you
builders are going through. It took me 7 years, and as Murray has
expressed, it sure was sweet to be finally flying. And the fun
side just continues to get better.

Hi Joel,
Well it's a little late as 97mr is put away for the season, But if you can
find a way to Michigan, (where they allow seaplanes to operate :) :) I'd be
glad to take you for a ride! On the other hand, if you love the floats as
much as I do you might want to move north! Of course you'd have to exchange your
Silver and Red for Maize and Blue. JUST Kidding! I'm really not that big a
football fan.
Seriously, come spring I'd love to try and work that out with you. I live
in White lake MI just off the end of the runway at PTK. Also know as Oakland-
Pontiac International Aprt. on the North side of Detroit. Give me a shout then
Curt 97MR

That would be awesome Curt! That's doable for sure. Maybe we could put a
bug in D Fife's ear and I could pick up a set of tips when I come up. I
been trying to get with him for a couple years and I have a feeling I'm
going to need them by next summer.
Thanks Much!
Joel

Great Joel! I'll lookl forward to hearing from you! As for the tips,
contact Dave at aircrafttips@yahoo.com. Give him your down payment and he goes to
work. Sooner or later. (Just kidding Dave) I've been helping him catch up a
little, as my time allows, but he's in pretty good shape right now. Keep at it
it's worth it. Curt N97MR
