I am fixing the brass bushing across the end plate ( and horn) on the aileron. Murphy ask to contersink with a grind 1/2' drill but they do not specifid the rivets angle! I have use a microstop contersing cutter for solid rivet (100 deg.) It looks ok but is it? what is the degree for those Avex flush rivet?

Thanks

The Avex RV44's are actually 118 to 120 degrees, but the 100 c/s is pretty
close and I have to admit that I've cheated a >few< times!

120 degree countersinks are available in single flute and multi-flute
from tool suppliers but the ones that I have do not have a mandrel and
are not self centering. However a normal 118 degree drill bit will
finish the countersink a little better than just a 100 degree cutter and
help you get a flush surface after you rivet.

120 degrees seems to be common for non aviation blind rivets including
avex, pop, and the structural Q rivets.
